Attorney Carrington Lewis came to Florida in 2015. He served as an Assistant State Attorney in Charlotte County for two years where he handled thousands of misdemeanor cases and tried over thirty cases in front of a jury. He then went into private practice for the following two years, defending clients accused of a variety of misdemeanors and felonies. In 2020, he opened his own firm, Lewis Law.
Prior to becoming an attorney, from 1999 to 2003, Carrington served as a United States Army Ranger in 3rd Ranger Battalion. He deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq and is a combat veteran. From 2005 to 2008, he worked for Blackwater USA as a personal security specialist in support of the diplomatic mission to Iraq. During that timeframe, he mostly lived in Baghdad and he and his colleagues were tasked with protecting the United States Ambassador.
Carrington is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in finance – Go Hokies! He also is a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where he met his beautiful wife, who also happens to be an attorney here in Charlotte County. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and the Commonwealth of Virginia. He now calls Port Charlotte home and can think of no better place to raise a family.
